Laura Campbell

Laura Campbell is a dedicated advocate who believes in social justice and the rights of individuals.

Since admission into the Supreme Court of Western Australia, Laura served as a Prosecutor in Darwin at the Director of Public Prosecutions.  This followed her work at the Central Australian Aboriginal Legal Aid Service now known as the Northern Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency in Alice Springs as a Criminal Defence Lawyer. 

Prior to being admitted Laura's other postings as a Paralegal include the ODPP of WA, ALSWA, CDPP and the State Solicitor's Office.  

She has represented marginalised Aboriginal people in remote communities including in the Central Desert, Katherine and the surrounding bush circuits.   She has prepared and run countless complex hearings/trials, written submissions and legal argument.  

She can conduct matters such as bail reviews/bail applications, contested hearings and trials, pleas, submissions, sentences, and breach applications varying in complexity. 

Laura’s broad experience means she is able to assess your matter quickly from the perspective of a Prosecutor and as a criminal Defence Lawyer to ascertain the strengths and weaknesses of the Prosecution’s case. She can then conduct the appropriate negotiations.

Laura represents clients in the Federal Circuit Court and Family Court of Western Australia and addressed their complex family law needs.  This is an area where she delivers sensitivity and understanding to her clients as it involves their children and financial security. 

Laura has an impeccable personal and professional record she considers herself to be a person of excellent standing in the community, with strong morals, principles and a passion for social justice.
